Viscous Mixing

Viscous mixing is done using different types of ribbon blades and paddle mixers. They are so designed that they churn the material well. The ribbons and paddles are so arranged that the inner ones force the material outside and the outer ones push them inwards.

Some may have two counter rotating blades that pull the material down and shear the material. These blades produce an end to end movement of the material.
