Surface Grinding
The surface Grinding machine has surfaces generally
wheels, bonded with abrasives These abrasive bonded surfaces and
segments are used for sharpening knives or blades, producing flat stock
and grinding large mold surfaces. The grinding surface typically has a
large surface area for the wheel contact. In surface grinding the
grinding wheel should be generally softer in grade and wider in
structure
Operation
Place the grinding head and the work piece surface parallel. Select the
grinding wheel of a proper grade. Place the guard and other security
checks in position. The wheel and work speeds also need to be adjusted
for the required output. The grinding surface need to be trued and
dressed for grinding.
