Shuttling arm rotomolding machines are used to
manufacture both simple as well as complex roto parts including water
tanks, auto dash beards, ribbed septic tanks, rear mud-guards, double
walled parts etc. Rotational molding (also called rotomolding) technique
enables manufacturers to produce an exhaustive range of medium- to
large-scale hollow plastic components. The purpose of shuttling arms is
to rotate the molds on both axes in order to distribute the resin evenly
and consistently along the mold surfaces, and also to move the molds
into any of the other stations of the machine--namely the oven, the
cooling chamber, or the product loading and unloading station.
These highly efficient machines help in even distribution of heat and
provide a uniform hot -air circulation. These machines make use of
minimum power and fuel.
Most machines have an automated system with optimum cycle time. While
certain machines are programmed to allow one arm followed by arm two,
others advance technology machines run on a random programmed order.
