Precision Grinding
Precision grinding services includes techniques like
centerless grinding, internal grinding, and external grinding. Grinding
as defined is the removal of material by use of an abrasive tool and is
used when high tolerances and high flatness with a fine finish are
required.
Centerless grinding have an abrasive wheel and a regulating
wheel. The metal bar is ground by the abrasive wheel and regulating
wheel forces the bar against the abrasive.
Internal grinding uses equipment to grind
internal surfaces.
External grinding uses equipment to grind external or outside
part surfaces.
The precision grinding machines are able to provide precision in size
and capacity. The size can be very small to very large. Choices for
materials processed include exotic metals and alloys, ferrous metals,
hardened metals, nonferrous metals, precision metals, glass or ceramics,
plastics, rubber, sapphire or quartz, and stone or marble or granite.
