Powder Fillers

The powder fillers are more often than not volume filling machine, auger type. Others may be vacuum filling machine, cup filling machines and gravity filling machines. Vertical Auger is the commonest of all. They are as suitable to the non-free flowing powders as to the free flowing ones.

Auger fillers are designed for precise, repeatable filling. The working principle is simple. It has a hopper, vertical rotating screw, funnel auger drive and agitator blade. The powder is dozed into the funnel and then into the container. The screw is to regulate the flow.

It is commonly used for filling tooth powder, talcum powder, baby powder, dry syrups, coffee powder and food, salt, pepper, sugar, pharmaceutical, chemicals or cosmetic products in powder form.
