Mineral Crushing Machines
Mineral crushing is done just like any other milling
and crushing. There are four types of crushers commonly used for
different types of materials and particle size after the mineral blocks
have been reduced by the jaw crushers.
Jaw Crusher - It is used for primary crushing. It breaks the
mineral blocks to the processable size.
Roll Crushing - They have two or three rollers between which the
material is crushed.
Cone Crushing - It has a rotating spindle and a head between the
material is crushed
Ball Mill - It grinds material by rotating a cylinder with steel
grinding balls, causing the balls to fall back into the cylinder and
onto the material to be ground.
Rod Mill - Rod mills are similar to ball mills but use long rods
instead of balls. The tumbling of rods grinds the material.
Hammer Mill - They have fixed or swinging hammers to crush the
material by the hammer impact.
