Low temperature evaporators can be of two types,
vacuum evaporators and atmospheric evaporators
Vacuum evaporators are based on the principle that brine or for that
any liquid boils at a lower temperature if the pressure is increased or
in a vacuum. The process is used for applications like:
- Desalination,
- Waste reduction,
- Water recycling,
- Product recovery.
Atmospheric evaporators are used for chemical recovery though it
has high-energy consumption for lower recovery rate. For better quality
and performance, vacuum evaporators are used.
