Gravimetric Feeders
"By definition, gravimetric feeders measure the
flow's weight in one fashion or another, and then adjust feeder output
to achieve and maintain the desired setpoint." They automatically
detect and adjust to conditions like discharge rate, headload variations
and material buildup etc. They actually measure the flow rather than
infer it.
Dry bulk material or liquid is fed into a process at a constant weight
per unit of time. The feeders have in-built control and monitoring
mechanism to control the weight of the material fed. It has a feedback
loop that enables accurate material control.
They are ideal for materials that have variable density at the time of
processing.
