Continuous Dryers

Continuous dryers are very frequently used in dairy, chemical and pharmaceutical industry. It is used for a continuous drying of liquids to the particulate state. The most common is spray drying. It is able to produce dry solids in the form of powders granules and agglomerates.

The wet feed is first atomized in the form of spray of the particle size required. It is passed through the heat chamber through a jet of hot air that instantly dries the liquid into the desired particle size. Powder is discharged continuously from here as the fresh fluid comes in.
