Chemical, Pharmaceutical Mixers

Chemical mixers are used in all pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries and photography and radiology sectors. Depending upon the utility they are generally either agitator type and impeller type mixers.

Agitation Mixers - Proper agitation of the solution during mixing increases the rate at which the chemicals are dissolved and prevents undesirable side effects. For proper agitation, an agitator type of mixer does not cause excessive amounts of air to enter into the solution. The strength of agitation should be just perfect as excessive agitation can weaken the chemicals or too less of it may cause some of the ingredients to settle.

Impeller Mixers - They are rotating devices that force the ingredients in a particular direction thus creating a circulating action. They provide thorough, rapid mixing, but need to be used with care to avoid excessive vibrations or to less of it.
