Chemical filters are required in labs, in industries
using chemicals, waste water treatment and of course removing the
chemical contaminants.
Filters have to perform multiple functionsFiltering, optional washing,
and dewatering / drying of chemical products for proper purification of
chemicals. They remove a wide range of chemicals from air stream to
allow ductless exhaust fume purification in industries. They use
activated charcoal as the filter that is capable of effectively removing

Further chemical filters are also used for solid liquid separation or
liquid -gas separation which is a little more typical. These are highly
sophisticated systems that realize the minutest separation requirement
down to the particle size and act accordingly. The systems are used in
refineries, in the petro-chemistry and chemical industries and in power
station technology.
There are micro-filter systems used for industry filtration. Wedge wire
filtration is used for filtering different viscosity liquids. The
gravity belt filter uses a very simple filtration principle waste water
processing.
